Haemoptysis – When Is It Serious?

Home » Webinar » Haemoptysis – When Is It Serious?

Haemoptysis is a common presenting symptom in primary care. Its causes are varied; from common infective and neoplastic causes, to rare vascular and autoimmune diseases. The severity of hemoptysis may be mild, with a relatively benign and self-limiting course, to potentially serious and life threatening disease. Physicians should be well versed in the initial evaluation of patients presenting with haemoptysis.
