While some new guidelines have come up for breast cancer screening recently, many breast specialists still keep to local guidelines of MMG starting at 40, with the supplementary US if dense breasts. In some sub-groups, screening can be considered starting earlier- but which modality is “the best”? When does genetics testing come in? How urgent is the treatment for breast cancer? Must all patients have surgery first? I’ll share current local workflows, and we can discuss how best to fit this into your practice.
